LEGAL UPDATE ON CASE LAW & USE OF FORCE FOR PURSUITS AND ROADBLOCKS

Paul Sullivan, FLETC Legal Division and Greg Coffel, FLETC Driver and Marine Division presented a legal update regarding United States Supreme Court cases pertinent to Pursuit termination techniques. A discussion on instructing the most common pursuit techniques was well received by those attending the Training Symposium/Conference in Savannah, Georgia.

Stationary and rolling roadblocks, tire deflation devices, channelization, and emerging technologies were some of the other topics of this presentation.
